Thanks first off to davej for the wonderful website/blogspot he marvelously put together for me. Unfortunately, it's only now that I have been able to put anything new on it! Sorry Dave!
Speaking of Thanks: though, we should be celebrating on Thursday in America...TODAY is Thanksgiving Day in Japan! Here it is more specifically "Thanks for Your Hard Labor" or much like our "Labor Day' for those that work...still it gives us opportunity to stop and reflect on God's goodnesses to us this past year!
Though, I don't express it enough, I am so thankful to God and so many others too. In 2005, I came to Ashiya to help a House Church Group start preschools. It has been 3 almost 4 years now and it has been good! We are also helping another church with their preschool which is really growing. I have a great group of co-workers, many supportive people around me, the children are great too! Not only that ...but I also love where I live.
On good days and even, bad days I can look out my window and enjoy the wonderful view. I have mountains and even ocean to look at. So beautiful like Hawaii but even more. During the Spring there are Cherry Blossoms all along the river and park outside. Imagine pink trees lining all along the river. Beautiful!
Autumn is always amazing as these same trees and more turn to brilliant yellows and oranges. These colors mixed in with all the different shades of green leaves that have not changed... Beautiful! Come visit and see it for yourself!
I have wonderful friends, who care and encourage me. A wonderful halau that allows me to be me...even with my forgetfulness sometimes. Preschool, Elementary and also babies' English classes. All of whom will melt your heart. A wonderful church for Sunday and a wonderful family at MIni-Church on Monday. Sound busy to you? Yes, it makes for a busy but wonderful week.
So all that to say I am so thankful today! (^_^)V"
